Remigo, Nikko

CARDS: SAGE 2023 Certified
ACQUIRED: 2023, Personal Break

CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • Nikko Remigo played WR at California from 2018-’21, and Fresno State in 2022.
  • A smallish receiver clocking in at 5’10, 190, Nikko picked up PR duties at Fresno State where he really shined.
  • As a 5th year senior he caught 74 passes for 852 yards and 6 TDs, and returned 13 punts for 259 yards and 2 TDs.
  • Signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as a UDFA in 2023.
  • Waived and then placed on IR by the Chiefs after his rookie preseason.
  • Waived at the end of the 2024 preseason, Nikko was resigned and then promoted to the active roster in December, seeing action on the return team.

NOTES:

Nikko got a pretty decent return in against the Texans in the playoffs. Time will tell if he sticks with the Chiefs. They’ve taken pretty much a budget or FA approach with WRs since the departure of Tyreek Hill. And why not? With Patrick Mahomes being there guiding the team at QB- He does such a great job of elevating the talent around him.

NOTES:

Pretty sure that this Mike Pagel Topps card came out of that box of football cards that spilled out into my room the first time that Josh spent the night. Some of them ended up under a shelf, only to be found years later amazingly in great shape- despite the shag carpet and Horde slime that had become engrained into it.

NOTES:

I think if John Madden was still alive, he’d name Storm to him All Madden team for his name alone. You have to be a football player with a name like ‘Storm’. Sadly for his base card, they pretty much used the same pose, with a slightly different expression.
