CARD: Sage Artistry 2022, Score 2022
ACQUIRED: IP 2025, San Antonio Brahmas v Memphis Express
IP 2025, San Antonio Brahmas v Washington Defenders
CAREER SNAPSHOT:
- Jashaun Corbin is a talented RB and kick returner with a good blend of elusiveness and speed.
- He played college ball at Texas A&M in 2018 and ’19, and Florida St from 2020-’21.
- Over his combined college career he rushed for 1,771 yards on 320 carries, scoring 14 times.
- He also caught 60 passes for 360 yards and 2 TDs, and moonlighted on kick returns finishing with 601 yards on 24 returns- scoring a TD.
- Corbin went undrafted but the Giants like what they saw, so he spent the 2022 season mostly on their practice squad.
- In 2023, the Panthers signed him, but the Giants brought him back by elevating him to the active roster.
- Unfortunately he’d be waived with an injury designation in August of 2024.
- The following month- the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL made their move and signed him to their RB room.
- Corbin was buried on a talented depth chart behind John Lovett and Anthony McFarland.
- But by the game 4 of the 2025 UFL season Corbin found himself in the starter’s role.
- Over the last 5 games of the season, Jashaun ran for over 400 yards.
- He’d run 9 times for 109 yards and a 57 yard TD against DC.
- Then follow that up with a 25 carry 142 yard (TD) effort against Memphis.
- He’d win the UFL’s rushing title in the final game at home against Arlington, and finish with 514 yards on 97 carries and 4 TDs.
- After the 2025 UFL season concluded, he was quickly scooped up by the Atlanta Falcons.
ACCOLADES:
- All UFL 2025
- UFL Rushing Leader 2025
NOTES:
So I was at the San Antonio Brahmas pep rally before the season and ran into GM Mark Lillibridge. I told him about some of the moves from 2023 that I thought were very savvy, and I talked about how impressed I was with his stacked backfield. He told me that I haven’t seen anything yet and that, Jashaun Corbin is the real deal.
I went home and watched some film on Corbin and was very excited. While I didn’t see him and McFarland paired up in the backfield like I dreamed, I put Corbin’s name out there as a late draft stash move to pick up for UFL Fantasy fans. Looking back now I look like a genius.
After the Memphis game, the Brahmas began to get into the habit of exiting towards the visiting side for everything. This allowed me to get critical added exposure to players that I hadn’t seen before to get their autographs. Corbin was chief among them. He signed an Artistry card for both me and my friend Joe, however I fumbled and forgot I had his Score card with me too!
Thankfully after the Defenders finale in which he won the league rushing title, I saw him down on our end of the field. He remembered me and came over to sign the Score card and then one of the OL came over and told me the card would be worth millions because Corbin was going back to the NFL. We all had a great laugh.
Unfortunately this would be the end of my autograph collecting with the Brahmas. A new owner, Mike Repole, took control of the UFL and made changes to the league. He opted to move the teams to smaller venues and considered changing the Renegades name to the ‘Texas’ Renegades. That’s when I realized that the Brahmas were on the chopping room floor. A few weeks went by and the news was announced: The Brahmas were no more. The city of San Antonio, which I had accurately assessed in my end of year coverage of the team- didn’t have a stadium that could support the Brahmas at about 20k capacity. I’m so bummed and burned by the Brahmas leaving. It makes sense- sure. But the breakup was unexpected and bad.
