  • Anthony Morgan played college ball at Tennessee from 1988-90.

  • Bears used Morgan primarily as a receiver over his time with the franchise.
  • In both ’91 and ’92, he caught two 80+ yard TD receptions.
  • Anointed a starter for the ’93 season, Morgan oddly found himself the odd man out by August.
  • He’d be a mid season replacement by the Packers, and spend the next few years, on and off the franchise roster.
  • Still Anthony managed to hang on for a Super Bowl victory with the Packers.
  • In both ’94 and ’95 while in Green Bay, he caught 4 TDs in each season, and posted at least 40 receptions.
  • Cut by the Packers in ’96,he’d retire soon thereafter.

NOTES:

A special shout out to Chris for tracking this one down who had flown under the radar for some time. He signed these two nice cards for me, as another member of the Action Packed 1991 Rookies set is down. I like his autograph. It’s very linear, but the loops give it a great accent.

NOTES:

Well as you can see here, I tried Chris quite a few times. The first time I tried him back in 2012, I was unaware he’d just been sentenced for tax evasion to prison. I tried again when he resurfaced as an athletic director at Chicago State but again got burnt. Finally I closed in during 2021- where he sent a buckslip requesting a fee. I jumped at the shot to finally get Chris after 3 previously unsuccessful attempts and added him on pretty much all my set needs to close the book on this one. He got back all the cards to me at a quick clip, sent me a personal certification of his autograph, and typed form letter thanking me for being a fan.

NOTES:

Well I went all out with a paid signing and got Percy Snow, who is a total no show in the TTM market. Many of these were set needs, and Percy had quite a nice selection of cards during his short playing career.

The promoter happened to be a member of our Facebook TTM group and after promoting and helping some other members nab a few of Percy’s autographs, I went ahead and bought a few more as at the time like many people working from home during the pandemic, I was flush with the extra money.

I really liked the Pro Set 1990 Lombardi Award Winner card. The gold frame above the green, coupled with solid, clean photography. All the other cards are amazingly all set needs, as these all exploded for me during the pandemic.
