CAREER SNAPSHOT:
- Burst onto the college scene in 2010 catching 111 passes for 1782 yards and 20 TDs for Oklahoma State.
- Followed that up with 122 receptions for 1522 yards and 18 TDs in 2011.
- Considered the best WR to emerge out of the 2012 Draft.
- Selected by Jaguars at #5 overall.
- Immediately began displaying issues with substance abuse and was arrested in June of 2012.
- Meanwhile had solid rookie campaign, catching 64 passes for 865 yards and 5 TDs.
- Received a 4 game suspension the following season for substance abuse.
- Played in 4 games and contributed 415 yards on 29 receptions.
- Received an indefinite suspension before 2013 season concluded.
- Continued to struggle with substance abuse afterwards, and has not played another NFL down.
- In 2021, emerged on social media and hinted at possible comeback with Jaguars, but as of this date, nothing has materialized.

Justin Blackmon is a sad story along the lines of Ryan Leaf or Todd Marinovich. I really hope that Justin gets another shot if he wants one. It’d be a great comeback story- even if it was with the Jags.
