CAREER SNAPSHOT:
- Lloyd Burruss played DB at Maryland from 1977-’80 where he was a 4 year starter.
- Posted 9 picks and 160 tackles in college career.
- 3rd round draft choice in 1981 by the Kansas City Chiefs.
- Had 4 picks rookie season, including one he returned for a score against Seattle.
- Lloyd was a solid special teamer, blocking a punt and a field goal in ’82.
- During the 1986 season, he had 5 interceptions for 193 yards and 3 TDs.
- That year, Burruss tied an NFL record by returning two interceptions for TDs in the same game against San Diego- keying the team’s 42-41 win.
- He then blocked a FG later that season and returned it for his 4th score of the year.
- The wear and tear of the NFL season started catching up to Lloyd by 1988, and by the ’89 season, he became a situational starter.
- Over the last three seasons of his career he started 5 games, retiring after the 1991 season.

Surprisingly Lloyd only had a few cards. 18 to be exact with most of them being Topps, one off cards, or police cards. The Pro Set 1989 was the most graceful IMHO and the last card of him to be produced.
