ACQUIRED: IP, 2025 San Antonio Brahmas v Memphis Showboats

CAREER SNAPSHOT:

• Daewood played college ball for the Oregon Ducks from 2018-’20, and Western Kentucky from 2021-’22.
• While at Oregon, he saw action initially as a WR and then later as a CB.
• After transferring to Western KY, he went back to receiver.
• In ’21 he caught 43 passes for 763 yards and 8 TDs.
• Then he followed that up in 2022 with 63 receptions for 872 yards and 7 TDs.
• An UDFA after the 2023 draft, Daewood was signed by the Dolphins, but during a preseason game, was brutally hit and had to be carted off the field.
• Due in part to the injury, Davis was cut before the season began.
• Signed with the Memphis Showboats of the UFL in 2024.
• As one of the few bright spots on the S’boats roster, he caught 41 passes for 446 yards and 5 TDs- including an 82 yarder.
• Injured for most of 2025, he only caught 1 pass for 5 yards on the season officially.

NOTES:

I did some research before the game and realized that Daewood was in the Sage 2023 set. I dug and dug and dug and finally found a few copies of his cards in my boxes.

For me, this set is sort of a revitalization of design that Sage needed to get me to buy a box or two. The cards are of solid quality, and the design is actually unique and pretty nice.

Daewood caught a 2 point conversion during the game in OT to help Memphis win. After the contest he came over with his kids and signed a few cards for both Jake and me. I sent a 3rd off to Joe for his collection as well.
