CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • Much ballyhooed RB, Ty Isaac, played one year at USC in 2013, before entering transfer portal to be closer to home.
  • After sitting out a year played from 2015-17 for Michigan.
  • Averaged a whopping 6.1 yards per carry over seldom used time at Michigan, finishing with 232 carries for 1406 yards, and 10 TDs.
  • Was not selected in 2018 NFL Draft.
  • Joined the Birmingham Iron of the AAF in 2018.
  • In a crowded backfield where the lion’s share of carries went to Trent Richardson, Isaac finished with 2 carries for 5 yards and 3 receptions for 24 yards in 2019.

  • Big, (6-5, 255) sure handed tight end played for the University of Pittsburgh from 2013-2016.
  • Best year came in 2016, when Scott had 35 catches for 579 yards and 5 TDs.
  • Despite solid performance at East-West Shrine game, was not selected in the 2017 NFL Draft.
  • Saw off-season action on the rosters of the Steelers and Lions in 2017.
  • Joined the practice squad of the Bengals later that year.
  • In 2018, signed with the Jaguars, but didn’t make the final roster.
  • Later that year Scott signed with the Orlando Apollos of the AAF.
  • Had 7 catches for 130 yards and a TD for the Apollos during their abbreviated 2019 season.
  • Best game came against the Birmingham Iron when he caught 3 passes for 61 yards and a TD.
  • Waived during Tampa Bay’s final cuts of 2019, he later signed with the Eagles, but was cut at the end of the year.

Great autograph here from Scott. I think that my buddy Mark from Mark’s Signing Bonus floated this address along to me. I think that Scott could’ve really had a career in Spring ball if he had just kept chugging with the XFL and USFL.

CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • In 2010, became the first player in NCAA history to pass for over 2,500 yards and rush for over 1,500 in a single year.
  • Finest moment came that year in a game against Notre Dame, accounting for 502 of the Wolverine’s 532 yards.
  • Had 3 games passing and rushing for 200+ yards each.
  • Completed college career passing for 6250 yards and 49 TDs, while rushing 723 times for 4495 yards and 42 TDs.
  • 5th round selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.
  • Played 4 seasons for the Jaguars, after converting to RB.
  • Best season came in 2014, rushing 135 times for 582 yards and 4 TDs, while catching 23 receptions for 124 yards.
  • Injuries derailed development at the end of the 2014 season, lasting into 2015, allowing for TJ Yeldon to take starting job.
  • After trying out for the Bears in 2018, remained in playing shape and signed with the Atlanta Legends of the AAF for 2019. 
  • Played 7 games for the Legends, seeing 24 carries for 66 yards and a TD, and caught 7 passes for 37 yards, but finished on IR as the league ceased operations.
  • Robinson has begun a coaching career, and after briefly serving at Jacksonville University, is currently on the staff of the Jacksonville Jaguars front office.

NOTES:

Denard was pretty easy to find on the web, but he wouldn’t sign from home. It took him a while to get back to me, but it appears he signs his fanmail once a year through the Jags right now.

I was pretty disappointed in the Topps AAF 2019 entry. The fact that the certified is just the same as the base card minus a few effects is quite lazy.
