He concluded his career at ECU with 47 receptions for 676 yards, 31 rushes for 123 yards and 3 TDs, and an interception for 20 yards.

Stefon was drafted by the Los Angeles Raiders in the 3rd round of the 1985 draft. Stefon played in 53 games for the Silver and Black. He was used primarily as a return man, with 30 punt returns for 240 yards and 60 kickoffs for 1,191 yards. Adams also recorded 2 interceptions for 40 yards and 6 fumble recoveries. He’d spend the 1990 season with the Browns and Dolphins.

In 1992, he played in the World League with the Sacramento Surge– winning World Bowl II with the team. He caught a giant pass from David Archer to sustain a drive on 3rd down, deep in their own territory against the San Antonio Riders in the Win or Go Home contest. Stefon went on to play in the Arena football league in 1994 and 1995 for the Charlotte Rage and then the Connecticut Coyotes, catching 26 passes for 391 yards and 6 TDs on offense, and 22 total tackles, 2 pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles on defense. Adams concluded 1995 by playing for the Hamilton Tiger-cats in the CFL.

Tucker, Mark ‘Rebel’

Card: Wild Card World League 1992
Acquired: TTM 2020, C/o Work

A four-year starter at right guard for USC from 1987 to 1990, Mark Tucker was selected in the 7th round of the 91 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons spending most of the year on the practice squad. The next year he joined the Colts in a similar capacity and then was allocated to the Frankfurt Galaxy of the World League where he spent a season with the squad in 1992.

After the World League reorganized, Mark joined the Arizona Cardinals, playing for them the next two seasons (1993-1994). In the meantime, Mark moonlighted on ‘American Gladiators’ as an injury replacement gladiator named ‘Rebel’. His interesting career journey continued from there spending a season with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an expansion selection in 95. With the following season under his belt with the New Orleans Saints in 96, Tucker decided to take his talents to the Arena Football League, playing for the Arizona Rattlers. He experienced his best football years with the franchise, and played from 1997 to 2006 with the squad.

Mark quickly jumped into coaching offensive and defensive lines for the Rattlers, and then later the New Orleans Voodoo. He moved to the high school ranks, where he has become an acclaimed position coach over the last 20 years.

A 4th round selection of the Barcelona Dragons in 1991 out of Delaware State, TE had a brief 4 game stint with the British Columbia Lions of the CFL in 1990, after being in camp with the Cincinnati Bengals. A dangerous and shifty return man and receiver, Tim led Delaware State 3 years running from 1987 through 1989. His best year came in 1989, when he caught 34 passes for 525 yards and 5 TDs. On special teams, he carved up opponents to the tune of 59 career punt returns for 951 yards and FIVE… count em… 5 TDs… snapping fellow alum John Taylor’s record. Among his returns for touchdowns, he had 3 greater than 67 yards.

While playing for the Barcelona Dragons in ’91 Tim had 27 catches for 336 yards and a 57 yard long, and 10 punt returns for 91 yards. He joined the Cleveland Thunderbolts of the Arena Football League in 1993 and recorded 5 catches for 94 yards and 2 TDs, while seeing action also on defense, with 9.5 tackles, an interception and a pass breakup.

As I round the final turn here on the Ultimate set, now with well over 100 of the base 180 signed, I’m starting to refocus on some names that I may have missed over the years. I doubled down on Tim and had a decent feeling that the mail may have gotten lost. He has a great looking action card and was a key contributor to the Dragons’ offense. He responded in a short 11 days and thanked me and said he’d be honored to sign my card, signing on both the front and back.
