Autograph Memorabilia
Stampede Inaugural Magazine Austin Wranglers
Acquired: Gift 2004
My cousin got me a game program full of autographs back in 2004, that I found recently when digging through some boxes.
Originally a 12th round selection of the Atlanta Falcons in 1989, Tony Bowick’s 13th and final season was with the Austin Wranglers in a career that spanned 3 professional leagues (WLAF, NFL, and AFL) playing for the Birmingham Fire, Charlotte Rage, Albany Firebirds, Grand Rapids Rampage, and Chicago Rush.

Skip Foster was the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator of the expansion Austin Wranglers. He led the Wranglers to a 24-24 record in his three seasons, including a 10-6 record during his final season in 2006. Before coaching Austin, Foster served as the Head Coach for the Tulsa Talons of the af2 from 2001-03. He left the team with a combined record of 44-10, an average of almost 15 wins a season, as well as leading the Talons to victory in the 2003 ArenaCup. Foster made history in Tulsa, as he became the only af2 coach to go undefeated at home over three consecutive regular seasons. He continues to coach in the AFL and was named the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Command in 2010.
Celebrating the game, the players, the cards, and the autographs for over 25 years.
