CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • Tom Arth played QB at tiny John Carroll University, throwing for 2,000 yards and 28 TDs in 1998.
  • Over four years, he’d set 18 records including passing yards (10,457) and touchdowns (49).
  • Undrafted in 2003, he’d manage to hang on to the roster of the Colts for three seasons.
  • He’d get seasoning in the NFLE with the Scottish Claymores (2004) and the Hamburg Sea Devils (2005).
  • Joined the Packers in 2006, but didn’t make the squad there or his next stop in 2007 with the Toronto Argonauts (2007).
  • Hopped over to the Arena Football League, playing for the Grand Rapids Rampage (2007) and Georgia Force (2008).
  • After returning to the college ranks, as head coach of John Carroll, Chattanooga, and Akron, most recently served as the passing game specialist of the Los Angeles Chargers (2022).

NOTES:

Tom played in the Arena Football League but it’s not clear if he didn’t start or if his stats are just unavailable.

CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • Played college ball initially at Miami (FL) before joining West Virigina.
  • 7th round pick of the New York Jets in 1990 but didn’t make the squad.
  • Played in the CFL for the Saskatchewan Roughriders during 1991 recording 5 sacks.
  • Later was drafted by the Sacramento Surge of the World League and joined them for the 1992 season.
  • A hybrid linebacker/safety, Proctor was right at home playing in the role, where he helped the Surge win World Bowl II.
  • Played in 1993 for the Sacramento Gold Miners.
  • Signed with the San Diego Chargers in 1995, before heading over to the Arena Football League in 1996.
  • Played 9 seasons of Arena ball at LB/RB, starting with Connecticut and Florida in 1996.
  • Then one year stops with New Jersey, Grand Rapids, Iowa, and New York through 2001.
  • Spent final 3 years of football career (2002-2004) playing for the Tampa Bay Storm.
  • Has been a lightning rod of controversy, thanks to legal issues.

NOTES:

Well there’s a first for everything. I struggled to find Basil even going so far as to looking for him through an offender database. I received the card back damaged and signed on the back, so I’ll take what I can get especially after throwing up a hail mary at the address I found.

  • Dimunitive (5’10”) WR with impressive speed, played college ball at Northern Illinois.
  • Finished as school’s all time leader in all purpose yards with 4,732, and the school’s all time leader in kick returns.
  • Went undrafted in ’99, but was signed by the San Diego Chargers.
  • Signed to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad and allocated to the Scottish Claymores in 2000.
  • Played in 2001 for the Rampage catching 11 passes- 3 of them for TDs.
