Pat saw limited playing time in the Fighting Irish secondary until 1988, when he had 38 total tackles, 2 picks for 84 yards, 2 fumble recoveries and a TD.
He became the leader at Safety in 1989, posting 44 tackles, 9 pass deflections, 5 interceptions for 96 yards, a fumble recovery and a TD.
With a solid sub 4.4 40, Pat was a lock first round pick, selected by the DB needy Los Angeles Rams in 1990.
The Rams deployed Pat eventually at free safety, and he’d play for the franchise through the 1993 season.
After a season with the Jets in 1994, Pat saw a renaissance when he signed with the expansion Carolina Panthers in 95.
In 1995 and 96 he arguably had his best pair of seasons back to back posting 3 interceptions and 60+ tackles in each while playing free safety.
Needing a replacement for departed safety Eugene Robinson, the Packers signed Pat in 1998.
He’d see action in 3 contests, recording a pick, retiring after the season.
NOTES:
Pat is a very successful businessman and owns Terrell Materials Corp, which specializes in large concrete batches. I had failed on him way, way back in 2011, so I was tickled to make him my first success of 2023, especially considering he has such a low rate.
Action Packed was one of my favorite sets when I was younger. I’m now closing in on the last 15 or so of the set that need to be autographed, a mere 33 years later.

CAREER SNAPSHOT:
Defensive lineman Jonathan Brown played collegially at Tennessee where he helped the Vols win the SEC title in ’97.
In that season he had a career high 13.5 sacks- good for second on the school’s all-time list.
Over his 4 years at Tennessee, Brown notched 27.5 sacks.
Selected in the 3rd round of the 1998 draft by the Green Bay Packers.
Released during roster cuts in ’99, and finished the season on the active roster of the Broncos that year.
Joined the Berlin Thunder in 2000, recording 10 sacks, 30 tackles and 2 forced fumbles.
Played for the St. Louis Rams in 2001.
Returned to the NFLE in 2003, as a selection of the Amsterdam Admirals.
Posted 6.5 sacks and 26 tackles.
Took his game to the Arena Football League playing for the Indiana Firebirds.
In 2004, Jonathan played for the CFL Argonauts, becoming a fixture at DE for the next 6 seasons.
He’d accumulate 50 sacks over his time in Toronto with dual 13 sack seasons in 2005, and 2007.
Retired after a final season in BC with the Lions, adding another 4 sacks to his career CFL number.
ACCOLADES:
NFLE Defensive MVP 2000
All-NFL Europe 2000, ’03
CFL All-Star 2005- ’07
NOTES:
Cool looking card here of Jonathan. The green actually works. He’s also got a great autograph for a big man. He really backdoored into a pretty solid career playing in the CFL there.
Anthony Morgan played college ball at Tennessee from 1988-90.
Dangerous WR and return man, had 35 receptions for 546 yards and 3 TDs, and 37 kick returns for 862 yards over college career.
Selected in the 5th round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.
Bears used Morgan primarily as a receiver over his time with the franchise.
In both ’91 and ’92, he caught two 80+ yard TD receptions.
Anointed a starter for the ’93 season, Morgan oddly found himself the odd man out by August.
He’d be a mid season replacement by the Packers, and spend the next few years, on and off the franchise roster.
Still Anthony managed to hang on for a Super Bowl victory with the Packers.
In both ’94 and ’95 while in Green Bay, he caught 4 TDs in each season, and posted at least 40 receptions.
Cut by the Packers in ’96,he’d retire soon thereafter.
NOTES:
A special shout out to Chris for tracking this one down who had flown under the radar for some time. He signed these two nice cards for me, as another member of the Action Packed 1991 Rookies set is down. I like his autograph. It’s very linear, but the loops give it a great accent.
