CAREER SNAPSHOT:
Lonnie Young played DB for Michigan State from 1982-84.
Recorded 6 interceptions for 10 yards over college career.
12th round pick of the St. Louis Cardinals in 1985.
A savvy selection by a much beleaguered franchise, Young stepped into the starting lineup at FS and had 3 interceptions, 80 total tackles, 6 pass deflections, and a fumble recovery.
Had a solid ’90 campaign recording 111 total tackles.
Traded to the New York Jets in 1991.
Started 26 games over 3 seasons, recording 3 interceptions for 21 yards and 236 tackles.
Played the 1994 season with the San Diego Chargers, appearing in their lone Super Bowl appearance.
Returned to the Jets in 1995, retiring after the ’96 season.
NOTES:
Lonnie appears in Tecmo Super Bowl with the Arizona Cardinals, however oddly he has outlandish stats and abilities, making him one of the most complete defensive backs in the game.
I’ve never had a player sign an autograph with a smiley face- but there’s always a first!
Threw for 2019 yards on 151 of 254 passes, and 16 TDs to just 4 picks.
Cut by Redskins, but saw time as an emergency quarterback on the rosters of both the Falcons and Dolphins in 2007.
Took a cup of coffee with the Chargers and Ravens in ’08 before heading over to the CFL.
Signed by the Blue Bombers in 2009, and saw action briefly in 2 games.
Retired after the season and currently works in the financial industry.
ACCOLADES:
World Bowl MVP XV
NOTES:
Casey was part of a collection of oversized team issued postcard autographs I got from a friend of mine. I was tickled that I was able to get the World Bowl XV MVP’s autograph among them.

Finalist for Harlon Hill Trophy in 1999.
1999 5th round pick of the Tennessee Titans.
Joined NFLE in 2000, playing for the Scottish Claymores leading the franchise to the World Bowl.
Set NFLE mark with a 107.3 QB rating.
Returned to the NFL but was on and off the rosters of the Titans, Chargers, Falcons, and 49ers through 2001.
Resigned with the Titans in 02, and was allocated to the NFLE.
Played 2002 with the Amsterdam Admirals.
Set NFLE record with 30 career TD passes.

As of 2022, is head coach of Dartmouth.
Bowman 2000 Chrome, #157
NOTES:
Kevin didn’t have a shortage of cards, but I really wanted to get his NFLE entries autographed. Unfortunately the only ones he had in the league were Claymores cards. Still nice grab C/o Dartmouth.
