CAREER SNAPSHOT:
- Played LB at Pitt from 1981-84 posting 9 interceptions for 93 yards.
- Fifth round pick of the New York Jets in the 1985 NFL Draft.
- Spent first season on IR and working with the scout team.
- Elevated to special teams the following year and got some spot backup duty.
- Finally entered into the starting lineup in year 3 and finished as the team’s second leading tackler from 1987-89.
- Recorded a career high 145 tackles in 1988.
- Sat out the 1990 season due to pinched nerves suffered during preseason.
- Condition continued to worsen and was forced to retire at the age of 27.
- Founded Southpaw Industries in 1999- A leading headgear apparel maker.
