Terry O’Shea played Tight End in college at California- of Pennsylvania. A team captain for the Vulcans football team, O’Shea was a three-time, first-team all-PSAC selection, and in 1988 he was a Harlon Hill regional finalist. He finished his college days with 123 catches for 1,429 yards and six touchdowns.
Terry was a nice free agent find by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1989. He caught 2 passes for 16 yards over his NFL career, but was cut in 1991 during training camp. He’d be later selected by the Barcelona Dragons of the WLAF and play for the team during their 1992 season. Unfortunately he suffered a bad back injury that essentially ended his playing career. Terry was inducted into the California Vulcans Hall of Fame in 1996.
He currently resides in Pennsylvania, signed this card for me and wrote a nice note saying that, “I must have really had a good childhood.”
Card: Ultimate WLAF 1992 Acquired: TTM 2017, C/o Work Sent: 8/8/17 Received: 5/31/19 (661 days) See Also: JR Holland
Overall it’s a great shot of Holland, but unfortunately, somebody was running into the foreground of the shot, so they couldn’t have a giant hand right next to JR. Ugh. Once you see it, it is all you look at.
I was able to cross reference all the information I had on John to track him down eventually through Facebook, and came to find out he runs a gym in California, where I sent my request to.
I waited 661 days for a 1 of 2- as JR signed just his Ultimate WLAF card, but not his Wild Card, but I will take what I can get, as it took some super sleuthing to track him down. John Holland was kind enough to sign this card and inscribe it with ‘Birmingham Bad Boys”.
Card: Ultimate World League 1992 Acquired: TTM 2019, C/o Home Sent: 11/18 Received: 11/25 (7 days)
A 4 year starter up front blocking for the Michigan Wolverines, Mike Husar, was named to the All Big 10 team and was an Honorable Mention All-American in his Senior campaign. He was not selected in the 1990 NFL Draft, however he was in camp with the Eagles that year.
Mike was selected by the New York-New Jersey Knights of the World League of American Football during their 1991 draft with their 5th offensive line pick. He’d play with the team through the 1991 season, and join the Bears in training camp that year but not make the squad. Mike returned to the Knights and played for the 1992 squad.
This card is an error card because as it was printed in 1992, Mike had already played for the Knights for a season so he was not a rookie. As this card was never corrected and has little demand on the market, its base value has not been affected.
Mike signed this card in a short 7 days. He lives in Michigan.
Celebrating the game, the players, the cards, and the autographs for over 25 years.
