CAREER SNAPSHOT:
Tim James played both SS and FS for the Colorado Buffalos from 1988-’90.
He was a starter on the 1990 National Championship team.
Over his college career he displayed a knack for the ball, intercepting 13 passes, including 6 in his Senior season.
Selected by the New York Jets in the 8th round of the 1991 NFL Draft.
Hamstring injury ended his NFL career before it began.
A late signee of the World League in December of ’91, James played for the Ohio Glory in 1992.
During that season he posted 1 pick for 15 yards.

I had seen recently a few successes on eBay for James- so I knew there was a valid address on him out in the wild he’d sign from. I had reloaded since my failure in 2019, but forgot that he had a Star Pics card. I guess I got so excited because Mark had given me a box of cards and I had no clue he had a Wild Card issue. Anyway, Brent from Instagram, came to the rescue again on this one and he kindly posted the address so I could knock out another member of the Ohio Glory.

At long last! Pete Mandley was one of the largest whales left that I still needed for my World League sets. I had spied out a private signing of his, and after being one of the many victims of his 0% signing rate TTM and hours of fruitless research online, I jumped at the chance to be in this signing, especially at such an affordable rate.
The promoter was more than accommodating with me, after I realized I sent my cards to them too late. So the promoter gave me their address to where they were going so that I could 2 day express more cards to them. I sweated it out a little bit, but it all worked out in the end. I got Pete’s autograph on all my remaining set needs.
The Ultimate World League set had 3 set needs. The base set card and the promo card are side by side above. The front of the cards vary very little as the promo uses a full helmet logo in the vertical marquee. On the back the promo spells out W-O-R-L-D. These cards were passed out during games as promotionals for the league, and although they had low volume, they also held very little demand in the secondary market, making them essentially worthless.

CAREER SNAPSHOT:
Played WR for Troy University totaling 1,554 yards, and 24 TDs on 86 receptions, and tied an NCAA record with a 99 yard TD reception.
Also spent time as a kick returner returning 74 kicks for a 24.3 yards per return and a TD.
6th round pick of the New York Jets in 1989.
Returned 4 kicks for 67 yards in 3 contests, before landing on the roster of the Colts for a game.
Saw preseason action with the Falcons and Chiefs, and then later signed with the San Antonio Riders of the World League in 1992.
A dangerous deep threat for the Riders, totaled 20 catches for 296 yards and a TD, while returning 14 kickoffs.
Hopped over to the CFL in 1993 and after a tryout with Ottawa, ended up on the roster of the Sacramento Gold Miners.
Had most solid season to date, with 61 catches for 1074 yards, and 5 TDs- including a 90 yarder.
Spent 1994 between the rosters of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts.
Played the next 3 years with the San Jose Sabre Cats of the Arena Football League.
Recorded 86 catches for 1012 yards and 15 TDs in 1996.
After a brief hiatus, reemerged for one final season with the Buffalo Destroyers in 2000.

Since my lowball offer stuck, I went ahead and took an Ebay flyer on this one after previously failing on Titus back in 2014. I mean, who would fake his autograph? I Immediately figured out his address and resent the other card I need (Wild Card) to Dixon again to try to get him to sign.
