Warren, Don

CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • Don Warren played TE at San Diego State from 1977-’78.
  • A solid receiver and blocker, in ’78, he accounted for 39 receptions for 483 yards and 4 TDs.
  • 4th round selection of the Washington Redskins in 1979.
  • Don’s rookie season was pretty solid, as he caught 26 balls for 3030 yards and 15 first downs.
  • Earned his first game ball against the Cardinals for a critical 3rd down catch.
  • He’d go over 300 yards receiving in each of the next 3 seasons.
  • By 1982 was already considered an original ‘honorary’ member of ‘The Hogs’- the famed Redskins offensive line.
  • Caught Joe Theismann‘s last TD pass in 1985.
  • As the Fun Bunch emerged- the ‘Skins WR corps, Don became more and more valued and integral as a blocker, especially in the run game.
  • Started 65 consecutive contests, before a rib injury caused him to miss two consecutive games in 1988.
  • In 1990, became one of three ‘Skins players to play in 3 different decades.
  • Retired after the 1992 campaign after finishing second in franchise history with 244 receptions (since surpassed).
  • He then went into coaching sports at the high school level.
  • Worked as a scout from 2005-’09 for the ‘Skins, before heading over to Carolina from 2010-’19.
  • Returned to Washington in 2020 and operated as the franchise’s senior pro scout through the ’21 season.
  • Retired officially in mid-2022.

Don for many years didn’t sign TTM and then all of a sudden near the tail end of 2025, he started signing, so I dropped these two set needs in the mail for the all star blocker.

Rodgers-Cromartie, Dominique

CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie played CB for Tennessee State University from 2004-’07.
  • Started 39 contests, and had 11 interceptions, four of which he returned for touchdowns.
  • Possessing all the speed and athletic prowess desired for the position as a track man- Rodgers-Cromartie was the second CB taken off the board during the 2008 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.
  • Initially started as the team’s nickel back, Dominique had to work his way into the starting lineup.
  • In a 34-10 win over St. Louis in Week 13, he returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown.
  • Had 6 interceptions in 2009, forced 3 fumbles and had another TD.
  • In 2010, had 3 picks, but returned 2 of them for TDs.
  • Played for the Eagles from 2011-’12.
  • Then stopped in with the Broncos in 2013, where he added a 75 yard interception for a TD.
  • Joined the Giants in 2014 and played for NY through 2016.
  • Added a 58 yard TD off an interception in 2015.
  • Tied a career high with 6 interceptions in 2016.
  • Played final two seasons with Oakland (’18), and Washington (’19).
  • In 2023 came out of retirement to try his hand at 7 man football in the A7FL.

NOTES:

Wow! Dominique was a monster when it came to returning grabs for TDs. He averaged 1 TD for every 5 interceptions! He had 6 which ranks him tied for 21st in league history.
