CAREER SNAPSHOT:
- After blocking up front for Legends such as Bo Jackson and Brent Fullwood at Auburn, Tommie Agee was a 5th round pick of the Seattle Seahawks.
- He spent his entire rookie year on IR in 1987 due to a knee injury, and then saw little playing time in ’88.
- The following season in ’89 he played for the Chiefs- where Tommie had four special teams tackles and very little else statwise backing up Christian Okoye.
- Joined the Cowboys in ’90 as a free agent.
- Ran for a career high 212 yards and caught 30 passes for 272 yards as well as his first career TD seeing action at RB and FB.
- The following year he scored his first and only professional rushing TD.
- Played with the Cowboys through most of the 1994 season and was not resigned after the season.
ACCOLADES:
- Alabama Sports Hall of Fame
NOTES:
Never got Tommie at Cowboys Training camp, so I figured it was time to shoot out a few cards. He moved in the interim, and my initial request wasn’t returned.
Tommie is an important behind the scenes backfield connection to the stars. He blocked and took spells for names such as Brent Fullwood and Bo Jackson in college, then briefly for Curt Warner and John L Williams at Seattle. After that it was off to KC with league leading rusher Christian Okoye, and finally in Dallas for Emmitt Smith.
