    NOTES:

The last time I got Warren, he quickly stopped signing again before I could clear out a few more of my set needs and cards I liked- and he appears in all the great sets of the era I collected. I definitely decided to double dipped on this one.

I was pretty disappointed recently to hear that Warren decided to change his tune and is now fully selling the HOUSTON Oilers as part of the Tennessee Titans history. This coincided with the franchise’s late attempt to fully integrate Oilers history into Tennessee, as Houston fans were clamoring again about bringing the derrick and history home. Then the Tacks decided to have a homecoming game where they flew out all the players to Tennessee. Pretty good PR move on their part.

He used to be one of my favorite players, but I saw this as an absolute betrayal. It was odd because he was even quoted as saying that he never played for this fan base or in Tennessee but here he was being inducted into their Ring of Honor.

Oh well, thanks for the memories.

Camarillo, Rich (2)

NOTES:

I had gotten Rich way, way back when he was with the Houston Oilers TTM. He had some great cards, but I only got one at the time. Later I acquired the Topps, Bowman, and Score autographs as part of what I call the ‘Akron Aquisition’- a stack of autographs I got from Bryan when he briefly left the hobby. A consistent signer, I put out these last 4 to Rich, with the majority of them being set needs. Honestly one of the best autographs out there- if not for punters alone. Love the loops. Solid.

Gray, Mel (2)

Action Packed 1990, #74

CARD: Action Packed 1990
ACQUIRED: 2021, Trade

NOTES:

I did a trade with Jake, a friend and member of the autograph group I run on Facebook. I had recently gotten a Jamaal Charles autograph in person on a card he needed, but I liked some of the Action Packed autographs that he was offering up, so I switched him for Rodney Peete and Mel Gray on their cards, knowing that they were not great signers, that they were set needs, and that he had probably gotten this through a paid signing.
