CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • Bramlet played QB for Wyoming from 2000-03.
  • He ushered in a new era of quarterbacking at the school, breaking school records for passing throwing for 3,000+ yards in 3 straight seasons.
  • Selected in the 7th round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.
  • Buried on the depth chart, he’d be allocated to the Hamburg Sea Devils in 2005.
  • Getting valued playtime in Europe, Casey started all 10 games for Hamburg.
  • Cut by the Bengals in 2005, he’d sign with the Redskins in 2006.
  • Assigned by the Redskins to Europa in 2007.
  • Led the Sea Devils to a victory in World Bowl XV.
  • Threw for 2019 yards on 151 of 254 passes, and 16 TDs to just 4 picks.
  • Cut by Redskins, but saw time as an emergency quarterback on the rosters of both the Falcons and Dolphins in 2007.
  • Took a cup of coffee with the Chargers and Ravens in ’08 before heading over to the CFL.
  • Signed by the Blue Bombers in 2009, and saw action briefly in 2 games.
  • Retired after the season and currently works in the financial industry.

Casey was part of a collection of oversized team issued postcard autographs I got from a friend of mine. I was tickled that I was able to get the World Bowl XV MVP’s autograph among them.

ACQUIRED: 2022, Private Acquisition

CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • Played DB at Grambling and was not selected in the 2002 NFL Draft.
  • Played for the CFL Montreal Alouettes making one tackle that year.
  • In 2003 took his skills to the NFLE playing for the Frankfurt Galaxy pulling in 3 picks.
  • Returned to Louisiana, playing for the New Orleans Voodoo of the Arena Football League in 2004, ’05, and ’08 as a DB/WR.
  • Played one season for the Kansas City Brigade in 2006.
  • Best statistical year came in final year with Voodoo in ’08, posting 88 total tackles, 7 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, 7 interceptions for 58 yards and a TD playing fulltime as a DB.

NOTES:

Great card here of Calvin, who actually has one other issue- An Upper Deck 2005 Arena Football card when he was with the Kansas City Brigade.

Quinn, Jonathan

CAREER SNAPSHOT:

  • With great size (6’6″) and a good arm, Jonathan Quinn led Middle Tennessee State after transferring from Tulane.
  • Showed dramatic improvement in his Senior campaign in ’97, throwing for 2,209 yards and 17 TDs, catching the eye of pro scouts.
  • He was selected in the 3rd round of the ’98 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
  • Quinn- at the time was the highest drafted QB in Jaguars history.
  • Saw sparing playing time his rookie year as the heir apparent to incumbent, Mark Brunell.
  • Guided the team to victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in only his second start in 1998.
  • Quinn was shipped to the NFLE for seasoning in 2001.
  • He played for the Berlin Thunder, throwing 4 TDs in a 34-25 victory over the Frankfurt Galaxy.
  • Then Quinn won World Bowl IX throwing for 308 yards and 3 TDs in a win over the Barcelona Dragons.
  • He’d join the Chiefs in 2002, returning for the 2003 season.
  • 2004 saw Quinn move to Chicago for a single year.
  • He’d throw for 413 yards and a TD in 3 starts.
  • Then Jonathan made a short foray into the Arena Football League signing with the Kansas City Brigade in 2006.
  • He’d retire shortly thereafter due to lingering injuries.
  • Quinn has gone into coaching, working at the Division I and high school levels.

NOTES:

Pretty pleased with myself on this one. Lots of things I liked about this one. First is that I just don’t get very many Jaguars’ autographs. Second was that Quinn played in the NFLE for the Berlin Thunder. Third was that he was World Bowl IX MVP.

A great autograph here from Jonathan. I really like the Pacific ’02 card, but something that really bugs me about the photo is the tangent on his facemask near his mouth. I can’t tell if I’m looking at his mouth, a shadow, or his mouth piece. It’s distracting because it reads as a second mouth.
