Steve over the last few years has become an insider and ambassador with the Denver Broncos organization. He has continued to be a good signer TTM, although since I originally got him back in 2011, he’s stopped signing as quickly and now only signs one item per person. For a few people he even short signed his initials. Atwater like many players has probably gotten frustrated with collectors and resellers abusing his generosity and going back to the well too soon and too often. I felt that since it had been… almost 10 years, it was fair of me to shoot out this classic Action Packed card of his.

Atwater was elected as part of the mega NFL 100th Anniversary class to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in early 2020.

Henderson, Carlos

Card: Sage 2017
Acquired: 2018, Box Breaker

A 3rd round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2017, Carlos Henderson shot up the boards as a one year superstar for Louisiana Tech. He dominated Conference USA as the Offensive and Special Teams player of the year in 2016 and although NFL teams wished Carlos had stayed in college for his final year to get more polish on his game, they were more than willing to gamble a 3rd or 4th round pick on the young Bulldog.

Things just spun out of control for Carlos from there. After going AWOL, getting arrested, and getting a suspension for a banned substance, Carlos was cut and ended up being placed on the practice squad. The team felt that he had all the tools necessary to take his game to the next level but intimated that Carlos needed to grow and mature. He’d be cut before the 2018 NFL regular season and is currently a free agent.

Sharp, Hunter

Card: Sage 2016
Acquired: 2017, Box Breaker

Hunter Sharp played wide receiver for Utah State from 2014-2015.  He posted some solid numbers playing for the Aggies, catching 66 passes for 939 yards (7 TDs) in 2014, and 71 receptions for 835 yards (9 TDS) in 2015.

Sharp was not selected in the 2016 NFL Draft, but signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles. Later in the year he joined the practice squad of the Denver Broncos- a team he’d be on and off the roster throughout much of 2017.  The Giants picked Hunter off the Broncos roster in December of 2017, where he’d finish the season with 5 receptions for 54 yards and a TD. Unable to make the cut with the Giants in 2018, Hunter subsequently joined the Bills, and the Bengals. He’d be selected by the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL in 2020 during the supplemental portion of the draft- but was injured in camp.
